We are on an island. You will have to take a ferry. It will be awesome.
Orcas is the largest island in the San Juan Archipelago. Most visitors travel via the Washington State Ferry System. This one-hour ferry travels from Anacortes Washington several times per day. You can find the current schedule here. You will travel the Anacortes to Orcas route. Tickets are $54 for a car and driver. $13.25 per passenger (walk-on, or carpooling). If you are interested, we have pre-pay passes available at $30. Please contact us more information and availability.
If you are planning on driving on, reservations for travel to and from Orcas are strongly suggested, as the boat can fill up fast. More information about reservations can be found here.
Walk-on passengers do not need reservations. Please contact us if you need to be picked up from the ferry and we will send someone to get you.
Our Base of Operations- Camp Orkila
YMCA Camp Orkila is located on the northwest part of Orcas Island, approximately 20 minutes from the ferry landing. To get to the camp, take a left off of the ferry landing onto Orcas Road and drive for 8.3 miles. Take a left on Mount Baker Road and follow for 1.5 miles until you see the Camp Orkila sign. The parking lot is the first right turn on the road.
